SSE Sells Stake In Beatrice Wind Farm To Joint Venture Partner

LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy company SSE PLC on Friday said it has sold a further 10% stake in the Beatrice offshore wind farm to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, its joint venture on the project.

SSE still retains a 40% stake in the project and is the lead operator, with CIP now owning 35% and Repsol SA, the Spanish energy group, holding the other 25%.

The 588 megawatt wind farm is in the Outer Moray Firth off the coastline of Caithness at the north east end of Scotland.

No financial details on the stake sale were disclosed.

Shares in SSE were up 1.9% to 1,370.00 pence on Friday.
