(Alliance News) - Springfield Properties PLC said Wednesday its village development at Durieshill, Stirling, has been granted conditional approval by the Environment & Housing Committee of Stirling Council, subject to completing a Section 75 agreement.
The housebuilder said it expects to enter into the Section 75 agreement with Stirling Council, which will contain planning obligations, and to commence work on site by late autumn 2020. The company anticipates that the first homeowners will move in during calendar year 2022.
The company said Durieshill is its largest development to receive planning permission to date. With a gross development value of approximately GBP650 million, the village will have a mix of private, affordable, and private rented homes and will include community facilities, the company noted.
Innes Smith, chief executive officer, said: "We are proud of the progress that we have achieved with our Village developments and we will now work diligently to ensure everything is in place to commence work on site at Durieshill by late autumn 2020."
Springfield Properties shares were up 8.6% in London at 139.00 pence each on Wednesday.
