Sportech Hearing On GBP97 Million VAT Repayment Claim Delayed

2nd Nov 2015 09:58

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gaming company Sportech PLC on Monday said the hearing on its GBP97.0 million value-added tax repayment claim on its 'Spot the Ball' competition has been delayed.

The UK hearing, due to take place on Monday, was delayed due to a "lack of judicial availability". No new hearing date has yet been set.

On January 13, Sportech was granted permission to appeal to the Court of Appeal in relation to the VAT repayment claim on its "Spot the Ball" game, part of an ongoing battle the company is having with the UK tax authorities.

Sportech shares were untraded on Monday, having last traded at 63.50 pence.
