LONDON (Alliance News) - Communications technology company Spirent Communications PLC affirmed its full-year expectations on Wednesday as it posted a rise in first quarter revenue.
Spirent said revenue in the first quarter to the end of March was USD102.7 million, compared to USD96.6 million a year earlier.
Revenue for its Networks & Applications business grew 14% in the quarter, while Service Assurance revenue rose 9.0%. This was partially offset by a 9.0% decline in revenue from Spirent's Wireless & Positioning arm.
Order intake in the quarter was broadly in line with Spirent's expectations, with growth in Asia Pacific offset by weaker demand in North America and Europe.
Spirent shares were up 4.0% to 84.00 pence.
