LONDON (Alliance News) - Spirax-Sarco Engineering PLC on Friday said it will appoint a former PriceWaterhouseCoopers partner and current audit committee chair at Synthomer PLC to its board.
Caroline Johnston will join the firm - which engineers solutions for thermal energy, peristaltic pumping, and other technologies - on Tuesday next week.
Johnston will be a member of Spirax's audit, remuneration, and nomination committees. She is currently an independent non-executive director and chairs the audit committee of Synthomer.
Johnston is also an independent non-executive director and audit chair at Shepherd Group Ltd. Shepherd Group is a private company and owns portable building business Portakabin Ltd.
Until 2009, Johnston was a partner in PwC and was on the board of the Assurance practice of PwC in the UK.
Shares in Spirax closed up 1.4% at 6,760.00 pence on Friday.
