(Alliance News) - Steam management system engineer Spirax-Sarco Engineering PLC on Wednesday said senior executive Jay Whalen is to leave after 28 years with the firm.
Whalen is currently the president of subsidiary Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group. He will leave the company at the end of 2019.
He joined Spirax in 1991, and joined the firm's board in 2012.
Spirax is now looking for a new head of the subsidiary, and is considering both internal and external candidates.
Chair Jamie Pike said: "On behalf of the shareholders, the board acknowledges with gratitude the significant contribution to the group's growth and prosperity made by WMFTG under Jay's leadership.
"We understand Jay's desire to step down from a full time executive role and retire after such a long and successful period of service."
Spirax shares were 0.1% lower on Wednesday afternoon at a price of 8,020.00 pence each.
