LONDON (Alliance News) - Sphere Medical Holding PLC said Wednesday that it has completed a data package for its Proxima 4 blood gas analyser, which it says is a prerequisite for submitting technical files and design dossiers for CE-marking.
The data package has been submitted to Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics Inc, as required under a collaboration agreement between Sphere and Ortho-Clinical.
Sphere will continue finalising the submission process for CE-marking, it said, whilst Ortho-Clinical will consider whether or not to enter into negotiations with Sphere over exclusive commercialisation rights for Proxima 4.
"The completion of the Data Package represents an important milestone in the development of Proxima 4 as well as a further step in the commercialisation of the Proxima system," said Chief Executive Officer Wolfgang Rencken in a statement.
Shares in Sphere Medical were untraded Wednesday morning. They last closed at 16.86 pence.
