LONDON (Alliance News) - Speedy Hire PLC on Tuesday said it expects its international business to boost revenue and profit growth in the first half of its current financial year.
The tools & equipment hire company said revenue for the six months to the end of September is expected to come in 6.5% ahead of the same period a year earlier, as Services unit revenue grew by 8%.
In the company's core UK and Ireland markets, like-for-like revenue remained broadly flat year-on-year, while the International business saw a strong performance, it said.
Speedy Hire also noted that it there will be no exceptional costs during the period, compared to GBP4.7 million reported a year ago. Adjusted profit before tax for the full-year is expected to be ahead of the prior year.
Speedy Hire said it will publish its interim results on November 14.
The stock was trading 2.1% higher on Tuesday at 64.72 pence per share.
