LONDON (Alliance News) - Instrumentation and controls company Spectris PLC on Thursday announced Adrian Heath will join the company as its chief executive-designate in September.
Heath - who is the former CEO of Imagination Technologies Group PLC and of Alent PLC and prior to this spent 30 years at Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC - will take up the role on September 3.
Imagination Technologies was sold to US fund Canyon Bridge Partners LLC last year in an approximate GBP550 million deal.
He will replace John O'Higgins, whose departure as CEO was announced in May. He will leave the role "no later than" September 28, when Heath will take up the full role of CEO.
Chairman Mark Williamson said: "Andrew has broad experience in the technology and engineering sectors where he has successfully developed and executed strategies across a diverse range of industries. The board has great confidence in Andrew's ability to lead Spectris in the next phase of its journey and deliver on its strategy."
"John has had a very successful 12 years as chief executive of Spectris and on behalf of the board, I would again like to thank him for his substantial contribution during this time. When he leaves the board, it will be with our very best wishes for the future."
Shares were 0.9% higher on Thursday at a price of 2,292.00 pence each.
