Spectris Q3 Revenues Up 5%

18th Oct 2013 06:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - Spectris plc (SEPJF.PK, SXS.L), a maker of measuring instruments and controls, Friday said that its third quarter sales were 5% higher than last year, with a 3% increase on organic basis.

Acquisitions and currency contributed 1% each to the total sales. Spectris also announced that its Business Group Director, Steve Blair, will be leaving the Board during the first quarter of 2014, and join as the Chief Executive of e2v technologies plc.

Looking forward, for the year, the company said: " Overall trading conditions are mixed and the timing of recovery in the business to more normalised growth rates continues to be unpredictable. Based upon our current view, we anticipate EBITA performance for 2013 to be around the lower end of market expectations."
