LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed measuring devices maker Spectris PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Derek Harding as chief financial officer designate with effect on March 1.
On April 1, Harding will become permanent chief financial officer, replacing 12-year veteran Clive Watson.
Harding will be joining from digital retailer Shop Direct, where he was finance director for two years since 2017. Prior to that, he was finance director at Senior PLC, a holding company for manufacturing businesses, from 2013 to 2017.
"I am delighted that Derek is joining Spectris. He has broad experience in the industrial and technology sectors, as well as across a number of financial disciplines. He also brings significant experience in driving change and implementing strategy. I am confident he will be a great addition to the Spectris team in the next phase of its journey," said Chairman Mark Williamson.
Shares in Spectris were up 1.8% at 2,426.00 pence on Tuesday.
