LONDON (Alliance News) - Sound Oil PLC on Tuesday said it has been given authorisation to start drilling on a second well in the Carita licence in Italy.
Sound said the Italian Ministry of Economic Development has given its approval for the plans. Carita includes the Nervesa gas discovery.
Sound said no further regulatory consents are needed, and it has started the process of preparing the site for the arrival of the drilling rig.
"The second Nervesa well initiates Sound Oil's busy 2015 drill programme. We look forward to updating investors on the commencement of drilling and on the achievement of operational milestones," said Sound Chief Executive Officer James Parsons.
