LONDON (Alliance News) - Sound Oil PLC said Wednesday that Andrew Hockey has decided to step down from his role as Chairman following the annual general meeting.
The company said Hockey, who holds a full time executive position at Fairfield Energy Limited, will remain on the Board as a non-executive Director and will continue to chair the Exploration and Production Technical Committee and the HSE Committee after the meeting Wednesday.
Simon Davies, an existing non-executive Director and a significant shareholder, will assume the role of non-executive Chairman with immediate effect, said Sound Oil.
Shares in the AIM-listed company were trading 3.13% higher at 10.7 pence per share Wednesday morning.
