(Alliance News) - Sound Energy PLC said Thursday it has appointed Mohammed Seghiri as acting chief executive officer and director of the company with immediate effect.
In November, the company had announced that Chief Executive Officer James Parsons had agreed to remain in his role whilst the company continued to explore monetization options available to the company in respect of its Eastern Morocco portfolio and until his successor had been appointed.
The company had said it intended to appoint Seghri, who was managing director Morocco, to the board, initially as acting chief executive, "once it completes formal procedures.
Sound Energy said Seghri joined the company from Oil & Gas Investment Fund SA, having previously been CEO of Compagnie d'Electricite du Senegal.
Sound Energy shares closed 0.6% lower in London at 1.82 pence each on Thursday.
