Sound Energy Expects To Receive Permission To Drill In May

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sound Energy PLC on Thursday said the central and final approval meeting for the Badile permission to drill, has now successfully concluded, with the upstream gas company now expecting to receive written permission to drill from the Italian Ministry of Economic Development at some time in May.

Separately, the company said the first Tendrara well has now been drilled to the first casing point at a measured vertical depth of 496 metres and that the 13 3/8" casing has been set and cemented in the aalenian dolomite formation.

The company will now proceed to drill towards the second casing point at a measured vertical depth of approximately 1,960 metres.

The information was reviewed by Sound Energy's Moroccan managing director, Luca Madeddu, a qualified petroleum geologist, Sound Energy said regarding the Tendrara well.

Shares in the European/Mediterranean-focused company were up 8.9% at 17.15 pence Thursday.
