Sound Energy "Delighted" With Initial Testing Of Tendrara Well

8th May 2019 09:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - Gas company Sound Energy PLC said Wednesday it is "delighted" with initial work at the TE-10 well on Morocco's Tendrara concession.

Sound has already made a discovery at TE-10, the second of a three-well programme.

It has now carried out an unsimulated test, over 158 metres gross between the depths of 1,932 metres and 2,090 metres.

The company has brought hydrocarbon gas to the surface from within the primary shallow zone, without having to use stimulation or artificial lift.

The next step will be to manually stimulate the most prospective targets to see if gas is commercial, which Sound expects it to be.

Elsewhere, Sound has also been granted permits for future drilling activities at Tendrara, as well at the Anoual permit.

Shares were 10% higher on Wednesday morning at 20.96 pence each.
