LONDON (Alliance News) - Cybersecurity company Sophos Group PLC on Monday said it has struck a USD31.8 million deal to acquire Netherlands-based endpoint threat detection provider SurfRight.
SurfRight makes technologies which prevent sophisticated cyber attacks by interrupting malware, preventing the memory manipulations which allow malicious code to be run in the first place.
Sophos said adding this early-stage detection technology to its portfolio will be key to it being able to provide a complete cybersecurity solution.
"SurfRight is a growing, profitable business with an established customer base and proven security capabilities. The team has engineered powerful, innovative next generation endpoint technologies that provide multiple advanced protection and mitigation elements, and yet are simple to use," said Kris Hagerman, Sophos' chief executive.
Shares in Sophos were up 0.7% to 248.7 pence on Monday.
