Sony Pictures To Occupy Office Space At Derwent London New Building

14th Jun 2018 16:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - Derwent London PLC on Thursday said entertainment company Sony Pictures has pre-let office space at the Brunel Building in Paddington, London.

The property development company said Sony Pictures will occupy three floors of the seventeen storey building and will have an option to take further space. The deal was signed on a 15-year lease, with a break at year 12.

Derwent said it expects to complete the project and open up new public access in the first half of 2019.

"We are delighted that Sony Pictures, one of the world's most dynamic and creative entertainment providers, has chosen Brunel Building as its new London home," said Chief Executive john Burns.

"We are seeing good interest in the remaining space and are attracting a number of other potential new occupiers to the area which will help its transformation into one of London's most vibrant locations," Burns added.

Shares in Derwent were trading 0.1% higher at 3,056.00 pence each on Thursday afternoon.
