LONDON (Alliance News) - SolGold PLC on Tuesday said copper-gold mineralisation has been found at the surface of the Aguinaga prospect at its Cascabel project in Ecuador.
The rock-saw channel results from the prospect showed an open-ended intersection of 9.0 metres at 1.01% copper and 0.79 grammes per tonne of gold.
The prospect shares geophysical and geochemical similarities to the Alumbera copper mine in Chile, the company said.
Shares in SolGold were up 7.2% to 2.04 pence on Tuesday.
