LONDON (Alliance News) - SolGold PLC Tuesday said it has intersected copper mineralisation at its Cascabel project in Ecuador.
The copper and gold focused mining company with operations in Ecuador, Australia and the Solomon Islands said drilling at CSD-13-002 on its Alpala prospect at the Cascabel site showed several zones of visually identified porphyry copper mineralisation.
The company made clear that results of tests have not yet been received.
SolGold also announced that it believes the visually identified zone is part of a larger porphyry system being uncovered at Alpala and a new drilling hole called CSD-13-003 began testing on October 6.
SolGold shares were down 10.4% to 6.90 pence, putting it in the top ten AIM losers Tuesday.
