LONDON (Alliance News) - SolGold PLC on Thursday said drilling at hole 18 at its Cascabel project in Ecuador is intersecting visibly strong copper mineralisation.
SolGold said fourteen different targets have been identified at Cascabel, though only one one has been drilled to date, the Alpapa Deposit.
Drill hole 18 is currently at a depth of 1,321.5 meters within intensely veined and mineralised quartz diorite porphyry, it said.
The intensity of veining and copper mineralisation is increasing with depth, up to 48% veining observed recently at 1,250 meters, SolGold said. Drilling at this hole continues towards a planned depth of 2,300 meters.
Shares in SolGold were down 1.0% at 22.77 pence Thursday.
