SolGold Defines New Targets As Cascabel Exploration Continues

9th Dec 2015 10:21

LONDON (Alliance News) - SolGold PLC on Wednesday said new targets have been defined as it continued exploration work at its Cascabel copper-gold project in Ecuador.

Ongoing geological mapping across the Cascabel porphyry field has resulted in another discovery of porphyry copper-gold mineralisation in outcrop, along the northern and northeastern slopes of Trivino Hill.

Ten high-priority targets have now been recognised in the Cascabel project, SolGold said. Outcrop clearing and trenching works are currently underway, and the company expects rock saw channel sampling results in early 2016.

Further reconnaissance exploration, field mapping, and infill soil-sampling are ongoing at Cascabel, the company said, and it expects to bring the Trivino prospect to drill-ready status during the coming quarter.

Shares in SolGold were up 4.1% at 1.38 pence Wednesday morning.
