LONDON (Alliance News) - IT infrastructure technology and services firm Softcat PLC said Wednesday it recorded revenue and profit growth in its first financial quarter.
In the three months to October 31, Softcat's revenue, as well as its gross and operating profit, were up year-on-year.
The company said it is continuing its investment in building scale and developing its offering. Softcat's Irish office, which opened during the quarter, "has started well".
Customer demand, Softcat said, has "remained strong across all segments" during its first quarter, and customer numbers grew in the period.
"Whilst there's still a long way to go, we're pleased with performance so far and are exactly where we'd want to be at this stage," said Softcat Chief Executive Graeme Watt.
"Our second quarter has started well and I'm confident we will meet the board's expectations for the year," Watt said.
Shares in Softcat were up 0.9% at 594.00 pence on Wednesday.
