SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: TT Electronics up as dividend jumps

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

TT Electronics PLC, up 5.1% at 146.00 pence, 12-month range 133.60p-189.80p. The electronic component manufacturer sees revenue in the first half of 2024 fall 11% to GBP274.4 million from GBP309.1 million a year earlier. Pretax profit falls to GBP9.9 million from GBP16.0 million. TT increases dividend to 2.25p from 2.15p. Chief Executive Peter France says: "The group's order book and current momentum of order intake in our components business underpin our confidence in the full year outturn."

Mears Group PLC, up 2.8% at 349.50p, 12-month range 249.82p-398.00p. The social housing and maintenance service company reports 10% jump in revenue to GBP580.0 million in the first half of 2024, up from GBP525.6 million. Pretax profit surges 44% to GBP30.5 million from GBP21.2 million. Increases dividend to 4.75p from 3.70p. Mears says the positive momentum achieved in the first six months of 2024 has continued into the second half.

Lindsell Train Investment Trust PLC, down 7.2% at 760.00p, 12-month range 1,002.00p-713.92p. The investment trust sees its shares fall after slow start to 2024. In year-to-date, the stock is down 11%.
