16th Oct 2024 10:25

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

ProCook Group PLC, up 6.3% at 27.64 pence, 12-month range 16.63p-27.64p. The Gloucester-based pots and pans seller posts revenue for the second quarter ended October 13 of GBP17.0 million, up 8.8% from a year prior. Of this, ecommerce revenue rises 12% to GBP5.9 million, while retail revenue is up 7.1% to GBP11.1 million. ProCook says improvement in total revenue reflects continued trading momentum and market outperformance, while ecommerce revenue improves on conversion and marketing improvements. First half revenue is put at GBP28.3 million, up 7.5% year-on-year, while net debt comes to GBP4.2 million, widened from GBP3.2 million. Looking ahead, notes "strong progress" against the group's medium term objectives of 100 retail stores, GBP100 million revenue and 10% operating margin.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Robert Walters PLC, down 1.4% at 345.20p, 12-month range 320.00p-472.00p. The London-based international recruitment company's shares remain downbeat, a day after it noted the impact of ongoing tough market conditions in the recruitment market, evident in its lower headcount and declining net fees. For the quarter ended September 30, posted net income of GBP79.9 million, down 14% from GBP93.4 million a year prior, and 12% on a constant currency basis. Added that trading conditions were broadly unchanged from the first half, with client and candidate confidence levels yet to show signs of material improvement. Noted that headcount was down 4% quarterly and 17% lower than a year ago, falling to 3,466 as at September 30 from 4,200 a year prior.
