(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.
----------
SMALL-CAP - WINNERS
----------
Pendragon PLC, up 8.4% at 23.30 pence, 12-month range 17.00p-29.00p. The car dealer says a "large international corporate" bidder has decided against pursuing takeover talks. The potential suitor, which wasn't named, had made a bid of 29p per share. This would value Pendragon's share capital at around GBP405.1 million. Pendragon was unable to engage with one of its five largest shareholders, the London-listing explained and as a result, the suitor walked away "given this lack of certainty". Pendragon has a market capitalisation of GBP325.5 million.
----------
TT Electronics, up 5.8% at 188.48 pence, 12-month range 162.75p-296.50p. Shares in the manufacturer of electronic components recover some of a chunky weekly loss. The stock is down 1.9% since the close of play last Friday, having fallen 7.3% in the first four sessions of the week. The Woking-based firm's shares fell 3.2% on Thursday alone after reporting a 25% decline in pretax profit to GBP5.6 million in the half-year ended June 30, from GBP7.5 million a year earlier.
----------
SMALL-CAP - LOSERS
----------
Capita Group PLC, down 6.5% at 27.44p, 12-month range 19.88p-55.98p. One-off costs wipe out profit in the six months to June 30. Pretax profit plunges to GBP100,000 from GBP261.1 million a year earlier. Capita reports GBP92.5 million worth of goodwill impairments. Revenue falls 6.3% to GBP1.52 billion from GBP1.62 billion a year earlier.
