SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Lamprell rebounds; Dignity slips again

18th Feb 2022 11:09

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Lamprell PLC, up 4.0% at 32.65p, 12-month range 30p-88.46p. The oil field service provider recovers in step with improvement in risk sentiment across Europe on Friday after stock falls 4.3% on Thursday amid Russia-Ukraine conflict fears. The conflict has stoked oil supply disruption fears.

----------

Taylor Maritime Investments Ltd, up 3.5% at 95.70p, 12-month range 70.57p-105p. The specialist dry bulk shipping company says one vessel in the fleet has been fixed on a one-year time charter and three vessels have been fixed on short-term time charters of less than three months. Total delivered fleet is now 31 vessels, including one ship committed for sale. Chief Executive Edward Buttery says sentiment is improving with the "market rebounding post Chinese New Year after a pick-up in dry bulk activity".

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Dignity PLC, down 3.3% at 622p, 12-month range 482.50p-969p. Extends losses after falling 1.7% on Thursday, when the funeral services provider said profit for 2021 is expected to have declined amid disruption from the Covid-19 pandemic. Dignity said it expects underlying operating profit for 2021 to be GBP54.7 million, 9.3% below the GBP60.3 million registered for 2020.
