SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Kenmare Resources on track for guidance

17th Oct 2024 10:41

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Kenmare Resources PLC, up 0.9% at 336.00 pence, 12-month range 291.00p-415.00p. The Mozambique-focused producer of titanium minerals and zircon sees shares rise on confidence meeting annual guidance. Reports third quarter heavy mineral concentrate production of 355,400 tonnes from 414,600 tonnes a year prior, with fall in heavy mineral concentrate due to lower ore grades. Primary zircon production rises to 14,600 from 14,100 the year before, while excavated ore rises to 11.1 million tonnes from 10.8 million tonnes. Shipments rise to 302,700 from 163,400 year-on-year. Separately, Kenmare reports the death of pedestrian, struck by a pontoon in convoy in Mozambique by a road haulage contractor.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

DFS Furniture PLC, down 0.7% at 137.00p, 12-month range 95.00p-142.00p. The Doncaster, England-based living room and upholstered furniture store chain says Chief Financial Officer John Fallon has informed the board of his intention not to stand for re-election at the company's AGM on November 22, and to step down from the board at the end of that meeting. The DFS Group has started an external search for John Fallon's replacement. Fallon, who joined the group in November 2022, will remain as CFO throughout the remainder of the first half period, to ensure an orderly hand over, before leaving the business in mid-January 2025.
