(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Galliford Try Holdings PLC, up 3.2% at 191.34 pence, 12-month range 142.80p - 199.60p. The construction firm says it has agreed settlement terms with a major infrastructure fund. The long-running dispute concerned three contracts with entities owned by the fund. Galliford will received GBP26 million in cash, and anticipates reporting a one-off non-cash write-off of around GBP3 million in the current financial year. "The settlement brings to a conclusion a complex and challenging multi-contract dispute," it says. It announces a special dividend of 12p per share from the settle and will consider more returns as well.

888 Holdings PLC, up 20% at 96.1p, 12-month range 50.5p-207.8p. Stock in the William Hill owner returns some of Wednesday's gains, having closed up 26%. The stock was sent higher on news that it received backing from an investment vehicle that includes several former board members of Ladbrokes and Coral owner, Entain PLC. According to a regulatory filing issued on Tuesday, FS Gaming Investments has built a 6.6% stake in 888. FS Investments is backed by Kenny Alexander, Lee Feldman and Shay Segev. Alexander was formerly chief executive of GVC, now known as Entain.
