(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

First Class Metals PLC, up 12% at 2.40 pence, 12-month range 0.62p-5.75p. Its 2024-2025 winter exploration programme produced "exceptional" results, identifying multiple high-priority targets across its Ontario gold projects, particularly at North Hemlo and Sunbeam. "The winter work programme was an operational success and the results it has produced are exceptional," says Chief Executive Officer Marc Sale. "We remain encouraged with the potential of the Roy structure at Sunbeam after the property visit with a renowned structural geologist – potentially a eureka moment."

Petra Diamonds Ltd, down 3.0% at 19.59p, 12-month range 19.05p-43.84p. The diamond mining firm announces sales worth a total of USD53 million in tender 5 and 6, which took place in April and June. In tender 5 and 6 of 2024, sales totalled USD93 million. In tender 4 of this year, held in February, sales of USD39 million were achieved. Year-on-year, the average price per carat fell to USD86 from USD127. "Like-for-like rough diamond prices, excluding single stones, for goods sold improved by 3% on tender 4 FY 2025 across most product categories. YTD like-for-like prices are down 16% compared to the equivalent six tenders of FY 2024, mainly from smaller size categories," it adds.
