SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Evoke expands in Romania with Winner.ro

23rd Aug 2024 10:09

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Petrofac Ltd, up 5.8% at 16.68 pence, 12-month range 8.28p-81.90p. The services provider to the energy industry extends forbearance agreement in respect of the non-payment of the interest coupon on its senior secured notes from August 23 to September 20. "The forbearance agreement is entered into by an ad hoc group of noteholders representing approximately 47% of the outstanding senior secured notes and certain other acceding noteholders. It provides assurance that these noteholders will not take any action in respect of the non-payment of the coupon until at least 20 September 2024, allowing additional time for the group's financial restructuring to be progressed," Petrofac explains.

----------

Evoke PLC, up 2.8% at 71.00p, 12-month range 49.18p-297.60p. The betting and gaming operator, formerly known as 888 Holdings and owner of William Hill, 888, and Green brands, buys New Gambling Solutions, which operates Winner.ro, an online betting and gaming operator in Romania. Evoke says it will inject its Romania business plus a cash consideration of EUR10 million in exchange for a 51% share in the enlarged Romania business. This will bring together 888.ro with Winner. "The combined Romania business, NGS, will operate a multi-brand strategy, leveraging a local hero brand alongside a highly-complementary, world-renowned casino brand," Evoke says. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Gulf Marine Services PLC, down 2.5% at 17.12p, 12-month range 7.52p-24.60p. The provider of self-propelled and self-elevating support vessels, serving offshore oil, gas and renewable energy projects, sees its shares fall, after a good start to 2024. In the year-to-date, the stock is up 13%.
