SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Contango Holdings PLC, up 27% at 1.01 pence, 12-month range 0.60p-1.30p. Proposes a GBP5.0 million subscription at 1.11 pence per share, a 39% premium to the prior closing price, from strategic investors Pacific Goal Investments Pvt Ltd and Huo Investments Pvt Ltd. Contango says the funds are to be used to repay all outstanding debt, including shareholder loans, leaving the company debt free. The subscription would give the two investors a combined stake of around 50% of the enlarged share capital and is subject to shareholder approval and a rule 9 waiver under the takeover code.

GSTechnologies Ltd, down 15% at 0.44p, 12-month range 0.35p-2.40p. The Perth, Australia-based fintech company says its 67%-owned subsidiary Semnet Pte Ltd has issued and served a writ of summons against the sellers of Semnet and a former manager, seeking approximately USD4.2 million in damages. GSTechnologies says the claims relate to alleged breaches of fiduciary and contractual duties under the December 2023 sale and purchase agreement, after mediation efforts in December fail to result in a formal settlement.

Panther Metals PLC, down 5.7% at 82.50p, 12-month range 36.00p-110.00p. The mineral exploration company files a preliminary non-offering prospectus with the Ontario Securities Commission and applies for a secondary listing of its shares on the Canadian Securities Exchange. Panther says its shares will continue to trade on the London Stock Exchange, with the proposed Canadian listing subject to regulatory approval. The company also publishes a National Instrument 43-101 technical report for its Obonga Project in Ontario, prepared by Fladgate Exploration Consulting Corp.
