(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

Bluebird Merchant Ventures Ltd, up 5.0% at 2.68 pence, 12-month range 0.014p-2.80p. Says samples taken from Kochang showed "good correlation" with the original five metre interval sampling. Adds: "This confirms that five metre sampling is appropriate for the ore body thus saving time and costs." Notes drain samples confirm gold of up to 2.25 grammes per tonne. Chief Executive Colin Patterson says: "The results confirm that we are on the right path to 'proof of concept' gold production at Kochang."

Castillo Copper Ltd, up 8.8% at 1.03 pence, 12-month range 0.93p-2.88p. Pleased with maiden mineral resource estimate from Broken Hill project in Australia. Believes there is "considerable potential" to extend known mineralisation with targeted drilling campaigns. Estimate at 64 million tonnes at 318 parts per million cobalt for 21,556 tonnes. Managing Director Dennis Jensen says: "With strong global demand for cobalt clearly apparent, the board intends to meet with prospective off-take partners eager to secure supply chains. In addition, Castillo plans to actively participate in the New South Wales government's critical minerals initiative."
