SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Tyman, up 2.5% at 348.50p, 12-month range 133p-369.55p. The windows and doors supplier says 2020 pretax profit jumps to GBP47.6 million from GBP24.8 million in 2019 as it saw strong recovery from Covid-19 pandemic in second half. Declares "modest" final dividend declared of 4p per share, up from 3.9p in 2019.

Cairn Homes, up 1.6% at 81.30 pence, 12-month range 60p-128.80p. The housebuilder posts drop in annual pretax profit of EUR14.8 million from EUR58.6 million, but says it will consider reinstating capital distributions later in 2021. Says it will deliver 2,500 homes over next two years.

Galliford Try, down 6.8% at 140.58p, 12-month range 70p-167.06p. Construction firm says resumption of dividend and strong order book provides confidence for future. For six months to December 31, posts revenue of GBP542 million, down from GBP636 million last year and pretax profit of GBP4.1 million, down from GBP5.6 million year before. Announces resumption of dividend under a new policy, with interim dividend of 1.2p per share declared. First half order book at GBP3.3 billion from GBP3.2 billion.

Spire Healthcare, down 1.3% at 154p, 12-month range 51.1p-168.8p. The private healthcare firm swings to a pretax loss for 2020 of GBP231.0 million, from a profit of GBP9.6 million in 2019 and declares no dividend for 2020. Says it remains cautiously optimistic that trading will return to 2019 levels in 2021.
