SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Treatt rises after positive outlook

12th Apr 2021 11:12

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Argo Blockchain, up 6.7% at 230.71 pence, 12-month range 3.4p-325p. The London-based cryptocurrency miner is tracking price of bitcoin higher. The world's oldest cryptocurrency rose as high as USD61,229 on Monday, just shy of the record peak of USD61,742.

----------

Treatt, up 4.1% at 997.10p, 12-month range 463.24p-1,060p. The food ingredients maker says it saw strong performance across all categories in half year to March 31. Expects revenue to grow by 14% to GBP60.8 million from GBP53.6 million prior. Says April is on track to be another strong month and performance in the second half should be bolstered by increased demand for its diverse range of natural extracts as hospitality venues, including sports stadia, gradually open.

----------

Dev Clever Holdings, up 2.5% at 36.90p, 12-month range 3.5p-39.5p. The career guidance and development platform says it is to acquire Veative Labs for GBP54.8 million in shares.

----------

BATM Advanced Communications, up 1.4% at 98.49p, 12-month range 41.7p-150.5p. The networking and medical technology company says its subsidiary Telco Systems has formed a strategic partnership with albis-elcon, a supplier of networking products and systems to communications service providers. Says the agreement will involve the two companies jointly offering BATM's network function virtualisation solution, which it said represents a "further route to market".

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Jet2, down 0.9% at 1,282.50p, 12-month range 429.8p-1,524p. The budget airline's shares remain lower amid rising coronavirus cases in Europe and lack of clarity over the return of international travel. Jet2 on Friday extended the suspension of its flights and holidays until June 23 because of "continued uncertainty" over the UK government's travel plans.
