Taseko Mines Ltd, up 9.8% at 140.00 pence, 12-month range 52.5p-185p. Reports improved performance in second quarter, driven by 20% increase in copper production at the Gibraltar mine in British Columbia, Canada and by strong metal prices. Second quarter earnings from mining operations before depletion and amortization was USD54.5 million, up from USD50.3 million a year ago. "With improving grades, we expect total copper production in the second half of the year to be at least 40% higher than the first half, which will lead to lower unit costs and improved margins and cash flow generation," says President & Chief Executive Stuart McDonald.

TT Electronics, up 4.1% at 278.50p, 12-month range 166.99p-284.85p. Revenue for first half of 2021 rises to GBP235.6 million from GBP210.0 million a year ago, and swings to pretax profit of GBP7.4 million from loss of GBP3.0 million. Says period from first half has continued, with expected revenue for 2021 fully covered and order book visibility for 2022 "building nicely". "With 2021 expected revenues already fully covered by orders, continuing demand momentum and the benefits of our successful self-help programme being realised we are confident of delivering a further improvement in full year 2021 results and have increased visibility in our path to double digit margins," it says.
