SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Riverstone energy rises on ILX III exit

22nd Jul 2021 11:06

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Riverstone Energy Ltd, up 9.8% at 351.35 pence, 12-month range 207.98p-360.6p. Says it has sold its one-third ownership interest in ILX Holdings III LLC to an institutional investment fund managed by Ridgewood Energy Corp. Deal is all-cash and closed upon signing, though is subject to some post-closing price adjustments. Estimated total net proceeds for Riverstone from the sale are USD172 million, including prior realised distributions. "The proceeds from REL's exit of ILX III provide additional funds to accelerate our investments in decarbonisation and low-carbon power generation. It also provides improved liquidity to support board approved share repurchases," says Chair Richard Hayden. ILX III has oil-exploration interests in the Gulf of Mexico.

----------

Go-Ahead Group PLC, up 2.6% at 1,010p, 12-month range 533.7p-1,463p. The bus and train operator hires Christian Schreyer as new chief executive, replacing David Brown, who is retiring at the end of 2021 after leading Go-Ahead for 10 years. Schreyer works for Transdev and was at German railway firm Deutsche Bahn for 15 years. Schreyer will join the company on November 1. Go-Ahead has rail contracts in Germany.
