(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.
----------
SMALL-CAP - WINNERS
----------
Pendragon PLC, up 6.1% at 19.74 pence, 12-month range 10.48p-21.34p. The car dealership now expects 2021 underlying pretax profit to be GBP80.0 million, up from October's guidance of GBP70.0 million. This, in turn, had been raised from a prior guidance range of GBP55.0 million to GBP60.0 million. Behind the latest upgrade is a strong performance in the fourth quarter so far. Demand for new vehicles continues to outstrip supply, but the shortfall in October and November was lower than feared and performance supported by strong margins, Pendragon says. Berenberg increases price target to 30p from 28p on the back of the update and reiterates Buy rating.
----------
Hostelworld Group PLC, up 5.6% at 67.14p, 12-month range 62p-119.8p. The hostel booking platform sees some respite from Omicron variant-driven selling, after falling 4.6% on Monday and 2.0% on Tuesday.
