SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: NCC Rises After Strong Interim Results

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Thursday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

NCC Group, up 3.9% at 265.00 pence, 12-month range 125.4p-283. The cyber security services provider posts a rise in earnings for the first half of its current financial year, with the company highlighting "robust" demand for its services despite Covid-19-related disruption. For the six months ended November 30, NCC posts pretax profit of GBP10.7 million, up 19% from GBP9.0 million the year prior. This was as revenue rose 2.2% to GBP135.6 million from GBP132.7 million.

Phoenix Spree Deutschland, up 3.7% at 335p, 12-month range 202.5p-345p. The Germany-focused property investor says Berlin residential property market has remained resilient during the financial year. As at December 31, the total portfolio was valued at EUR768.3 million by JLL, an increase of 5.2% from EUR730.2 million at the same time in 2019. Looking ahead, it expects that reported EPRA NAV per share as at December 31 will fall within a range of EUR5.27 to EUR5.33, up from EUR4.92 in 2019.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

EnQuest, down 7.5% at 12.79p, 12-month range 7.07p-27.5p. The oil and gas explorer is acquiring Suncor Energy UK's near 27% stake in the Golden Eagle area, comprising the producing Golden Eagle, Peregrine and Solitaire fields in the North Sea for an initial USD325 million. EnQuest plans to finance the transaction through a combination of a new secured debt facility, interim period post-tax cash flows, and an equity raise. Turning to 2020 operations, EnQuest says output averaged 59,116 barrels of oil equivalent per day, down 14% from 68,606 boepd in 2019.

Hunting, down 1.0% at 210.48p, 12-month range 120.10p-338.40p. The energy services company agrees to provide Well Data Labs with USD2.5 million in convertible capital financing, to support WDL's growth ambitions in the onshore technical well data analytics market.
