SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Keller shares rally 9% as outlook raised

3rd Aug 2021 10:59

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Keller Group PLC, up 9.1% at 950.00 pence, 12-month range 483.73p-981p. The geotechnical specialist contractor reports 5% fall in interim revenue to GBP984.1 million, but pretax profit jumps 41% to GBP29.2 million. Keeps dividend steady at 12.6p. Says interim performance was better than expected, with revenue momentum building in the second quarter. "Whilst residual Covid-19 related risk remains in some markets, we expect a continuing increase in business confidence and trading momentum as the year progresses, with the performance for the full year now anticipated to be materially ahead of the board's previous expectations, with a modest second half bias," says Keller.

----------

Vietnam Holding Ltd, up 8.6% at 264.89p, 12-month range 145p-270p. The investment firm focused on high-growth companies in Vietnam proposes to conduct tender offer for up to 30% of the company's issued share capital. Maximum number of shares to be acquisition under offer is 12.7 million, and has arranged for finnCap to carry out the offer at a price equal to the prevailing net asset value per share as at the date of tender offer completion, less a 2% discount.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Lamprell PLC, down 5.0% at 39.87p, 12-month range 20.3p-88.46p. The oil rig construction firm says revenue in first six months of 2021 USD175 million, up on USD142.5 million a year ago, but earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation was "slightly negative" compared with positive USD300,000 a year prior. Reiterates its expectation for "broadly breakeven" full-year Ebitda. "Much of the revenue for the full year will be affected by the minimal margin IMI rig projects as well as additional Covid-19 disruption costs. The group has delivered sustainable overhead reductions in recent years and remains committed to a programme of fiscal discipline and cost control," it says.
