SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Artemis Alpha rises on buyback plans

15th Oct 2021 11:07

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Artemis Alpha Trust PLC, up 2.5% at 426.00 pence, 12-month range 260p-478p. Is seeking shareholder approval for revised approach to managing company's discount and liquidity. Is now committing to sustainable share buyback policy after deciding that tender offer no longer in the best interests of all shareholders. "We feel the option is now available to manage our discount and provide liquidity through a continuous share repurchase programme that would not compromise the management of the portfolio and would deliver better results for most shareholders overall than a tender in 2021," says Chair Duncan Budge.

----------

Go-Ahead Group PLC, up 2.5% at 811.50p, 12-month range 545p-1,463p. Rises after RBC lifts the public transport operator to Outperform from Sector Perform.
