LONDON (Alliance News) - SKIL Ports and Logistics Ltd on Wednesday said onsite reclamation work at its Navi port and logistics project in Mumbai, India is progressing.
SKIL confirmed completion of work on the 300-metre bund which will allow the new piling gantry at the project to be erected as the point where the quay wall will start and said its engineers have reclaimed 10 hectares to date.
SKIL was hit in the first half of 2015 by the contractor workforce at the Navi project walking off site due to local community issues. The issues forced SKIL in July to say that the port and logistics facility would not be operational until 2016, having previously anticipated it would start operations this year.
The unspecified issues were resolved in October.
Shares in SKIL were up 4.1% to 55.95 pence early Wednesday.
