LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Petroleum PLC on Monday said it "recently became aware" that its annual return had not been filed at Companies House, the UK-government owned organisation responsible for incorporating and dissolving limited companies, registering company information and making it available to the public.
The due date for an annual return is usually a year after either the incorporation of a company or the date when the previous annual return was filed. According to the Companies House website, Sirius Petroleum's annual return made up to July 16 was due by August 13. The annual return is marked "overdue" on Companies House.
An annual return must include details of a company's directors, a description of what the company does, and its registered address, among other information.
"The company is taking steps to resolve this and expects to file the annual return today," the investing company said.
Shares in Sirius Petroleum were up 0.8% at 0.378 pence on Monday afternoon.
