LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Petroleum PLC on Tuesday said it is awaiting news from its international rig partner on when the rig will mobilise to the Ororo field in Nigeria.
In mid-March, rig partner COSL began mobilising a jack up rig for delivery to Ororo, offshore Nigeria, with the rig due to be used on both the Ororo 2 and Ororo 3 drill programmes.
Sirius said Tuesday once it hears from COSL it will be able to give an update on the timing of the spudding of the first well to be drilled, Ororo 2. Sirius said in March the start of work at Ororo 2 was due in April.
