LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Petroleum PLC on Tuesday said Guarantee Petroleum, one of the partners on the Ororo Field in Nigeria, has been approved to start drilling on the Ororo-2A well.
The well is Sirius' first appraisal well at the Ororo field. It must be drilled within six months from the date of the approval on October 26.
"I am delighted that we have been able to reach this major milestone towards developing the Ororo Field and building significant value for shareholders," said Bobo Kuti, Sirius's chief executive.
Sirius Petroleum shares were down 3.6% to 0.405 pence on Tuesday morning.
