LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Minerals PLC Monday said it has received positive results from its product characterisation tests on the York Potash Project's POLY4 polyhalite product.
The potash exploration and development company, with operations in the UK and US, said the testing programme was carried out by various independent bodies and was designed to measure and validate the solubility, nutrient release rates, and effect on soil pH levels from the company's POLY4 product.
POLY4 is the powder and granulated product that will be produced from the York Potash Project, as a fertiliser for soil application.
The company said the tests have confirmed that POLY4 is a soluble fetiliser, which has excellent nutrient availability to the plant and does not affect the soil pH or soil conductivity in a negative way at commercial application rates.
Sirius Minerals shares were up 0.02 pence to 8.72p Monday midday.
