LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Minerals PLC on Thursday said it has made further progress on the approvals process for the York potash project, after securing support from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
The council has granted permission for the York potash mine and mineral transport system planning application.
"We are delighted with the positive decision from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council for this substantial part of the project and look forward to further progress with our other applications. The application is a significant part of the overall approvals required for the delivery of the Project and an important step forward for Sirius," said Chris Fraser, Sirius chief executive and managing director.
Sirius shares were down 2.2% to 13.69 pence on Friday.
