Sirius Minerals Down As It Withdraws Part Of York Potash Application

15th Jan 2015 08:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - Sirius Minerals PLC shares dropped on Thursday morning after the company said it had withdrawn an application for part of the York Potash project.

Sirius said it has withdrawn its current application for the Harbour Facilities at the project, "with a view to refining certain options in the application". Sirius said it will submit a revised application in the near future and added it does not affect the overall timeline for other key planning decisions on the project.

Sirius shares were down 13% to 7.80 pence on the news, one of the worst performers on AIM.

The news comes after Sirius shares fell a week ago when it said the date for the determination on the planning application for the York Potash Project has not yet been confirmed, but estimated it may not be handed down until May.
