(Alliance News) - SimiGon Ltd said Monday it has been awarded a contract extension with the US Air Force for continuing its Contractor Logistics Support for the company's SIMbox-based flight training devices.
Under the contract, which was first signed in September, SimiGon will continue providing turnkey onsite and offsite support services for the 16 T-6A Level 5 Flight Training Devices, for an extended six months, with an option for an additional 12 months.
The initial six-month extension is worth USD700,000, with the total 18-month period worth USD2.1 million.
"The CLS contract extension to continue our support of the URT training programme is very gratifying as it demonstrates USAF's confidence in our ability to support a programme of great importance. SimiGon's capabilities have also grown along with the programme's high training volume, expanding far beyond software and integration services to also include maintenance and support of the entire training device, comprised of fully functional cockpits, projectors and domes, as well the relevant spare parts," said Chair and CEO Ami Vizer.
Shares in SimiGon closed 19% higher at 7.75 pence on Monday in London.
