SimiGon Signs Licence Contract With Latin American Training Group

3rd Sep 2014 07:59

LONDON (Alliance News) - SimiGon Ltd said Wednesday that it has signed a new license agreement with a government-formed Latin American training and simulation group, through which SimiGon will provide additional software licenses to support training programmes, extending the companies' existing relationship.

The simulation training services provider said it has signed the new license deal with Corporacion de Alta Tecnologia para la Defensa, known as Codaltec, a Colombian high technology corporation which was formed in August 2012 by the Colombian government to meet the defence sector's needs, including training and simulation.

Codaltec has now agreed to purchase additional SimiGon software licenses to support its numerous training programmes. The value of the new contract does not change SimiGon's expectations for the full-year to December 31, 2014, said the company.

SimiGon said it considers the contract a major endorsement for its technology and delivery capabilities.

At the time of the Colombian company's creation, SimiGon provided the new corporation with its SIMbox training and simulation technology platform, with the successful delivery and performance of its systems leading to the new license agreement.

Under the terms of the original contract, SimiGon delivered a range of SIMbox development training courses and on-the-job training, forming the backbone of Codaltec's simulation development programmes. Based on this support, SimiGon partners develop their own SIMbox-based training and simulation content to support training of its customers.

Shares in SimiGon were Wednesday morning trading 2.28% lower at 26.75 pence per share.
